lessons learned – a meditation in three stanzas

Thirty five years it took.
thirty-five years to know that disappointment,
has little to do with the action
-or inaction of another.

Disappointment is our own
skewed expectations projected on a person –
expectations above what that other is willing to do
-or not do.

Thirty-five years.
Tomorrow should be easier,
expectations removed.
Because, clarity always rises with dawn.
